Adopting a pet may be one of the happiest moments of your life and you should really look at the possibilities. There are plenty of great animals waiting at hundreds of shelters throughout the country, and you do not have to pay a lot of money to add another member to your family. It is however necessary to understand what you are getting into when you decide to adopt a pet. That knowledge is not to discourage you; in fact it is so that you can be certain that you will have a great experience when bringing your new pet home.

While we mourn the kittens on the tragic case that happened in the beginning of the year, let us not forget the many cats that need help. Cat Welfare Society is having the following adoption drives in 2013!
If you have missed the first adoption drive, the next one will be held on 3rd February 2013, at The Pet Safari @ VivoCity from 1 – 6pm.
There are also cats in their Special Appeals that need your help. Check out this link: http://www.catwelfare.org/specialappeals
The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals takes in about 600 unwanted animals every month. This is made up of cats, dogs and rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters. Many of these animals had owners who gave them up because no one had the time to take care of them. Some of these pets were even abandoned on the street to fend for themselves.
