Tip of the Week: Storage of Pet Food (Wet) – Part II

This week “Tip of the Week” will be on storage of wet pet food.

Here’s how you should store for wet or canned food.

    • Store unopened canned food in a cool, dry environment.
    • Always check the expiry date before feeding your pet.
    • Look out for damaged, dented, or bulging cans. This may be a sign of contaminated food.
    • Store opened canned dog food in the refrigerator for a maximum of 3 days.

You can use cling wrap and/or airtight containers for covering up and storing. Discard whatever is left after 3 days, or if it looks or smells bad.
